OOTD: Starry night

Struggling with draping my sari on correctly!

It’s on!

This is a bit of a throwback outfit of the day as i’ve been so unwell with a cold…poor me! that I haven’t had a chance to take any OOTD pics in forever.

Back to the throwback outfit!

For my cousins wedding, after thinking long and hard, I decided to wear a black and grey/silver half velvet saree. Since it was late evening, I thought a black sari would look pretty elegant.
With there being so much fabric, I wasn’t sure how it would look with velvet. Since I’m pear shaped, I didn’t want it to pile on the pounds!

I am also aware that I have green nail varnish on lol. That was the last thing I remembered to get rid of but I did take it off, promise!

All in all, this is the final look with the ‘pallu’ (drapey bit) pinned up. It was pretty heavy with it resting on my arm and I preferred the more defined silhouette it gave it with it pinned up.

I decided to add a black and grey smokey eye and a a darker red (Mac Red) for my lips as opposed to the pinkier red I had tried on in the earlier pics.
