This weeks outfit of the day was a special one as the begining of this week was a day of celebration for Muslims all over the world.
This Eid the weather was going to be really hot and muggy so I was um-ing and ah-ing about whether to wear something traditional or not.
In the end I opted for a Farasha, which is the Middle Eastern version of a Maxi dress. They are floor length gowns that come in an array of colours and beautiful beaded and stoned embroidery around the neck line.
The outer material is flowy and the inside slip has a belt which you can fasten so that the dress fits your shape better.
I’m not a huge fan of purple but I couldn’t help liking this one. The stones are multicoloured AB stones that set the dress off nicely. Not to mention Kim Kardashian and co have also been seen donning them, and if it’s good enough for the Kardashians it’s good enough for me.
What do you think of my Farasha? Would you ever consider wearing one? Do you think Kaftans should be strictly beachwear?
Love Always (and wishing you a Happy Eid),
