I bought the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser as part of a huge Sunday Riley Haul. My bank balance was crying yes, but my skin was screaming at the prospect of trying out such a cult brand. Would I be fresh faced and looking ten years younger? Only time will tell.
The Ceramic Slip cleanser was revamped and repackaged and even after doing some digging I’m unclear why. Either way, it’s supposed to be much better in helping to get clear “doll like” skin.
A daily gel cleanser that removes all dirt, oil, makeup, and impurities from your skin while drawing in clean hydration and imparting a healthy glow. It is now made up of 3 different clays – French Green Clay, Bentonite, and White Kaolin; they clean out pores without stripping the skin of its essential moisture.
Rice and Olive Oil Esters are also a key ingredient in helping to balance and soften sensitive skin for a healthier-looking complexion.
Lastly I read it has Neroli Extract, which I’ve just found out brings a soothing, bright, and zen-like experience to your skin. Whatever that means.
The milky gel consistency of the cleanser means it’s very easy to work into a lather and just as easy to wash away.
After the first wash I noticed that my skin felt very clean without any of the tight feeling that you can sometimes get. My skin felt smooth too. I was still sceptical but I started using it twice daily.
I love that the gentle nature of it never went away and my skin tone feels much brighter and even. This could also be down to the fact that i’ve been following it up with Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream.
I did find that it does struggle with waterproof makeup but I don’t wear it often so it’s not much of an issue for me.
At the time of typing this, it is priced at £26 for 150ml which to be fair although it might seem pricey, it actually isn’t the most expensive cleanser I own. You have to bare in mind that it has some great ingredients in and to be fair, you really do need to invest in good skincare to get good results. There isn’t a dupe out there for a product like this.
Only f you’re after a gentle (keyword!) cleanser then this is absolutely perfect. It does exactly what it’s supposed to without messing with your skin. If however you do have pores that get very congested and need something stronger, this may be too gentle for you.
Towards the end of my tube, I ended up using this just as a morning cleanser because after a day of makeup my skin just needs that little bit more to get EVERYTHING off.
To create a great flash fix facial, mix equal parts of Ceramic Slip with Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment. Leave on for up to ten minutes, and rinse for instantly smoother, brighter, and clearer looking skin.
I have tried this and omg it really works! Some days my skin feels extremely textured and sensitive this is one of my favourite ways to sort that out without having to do a full on chemical peel. I do use 2/3 lactic acid and 1/3 ceramic slip cleanser though.
