I have wanted to go to The Chelsea Flower Show for YEARS. The only thing stopping me is the absolute extortionate price. If you’re in the same boat as me then I’ve got some pretty good news for you!
This year’s Chelsea Flower Show will still be happening but instead it will be online for the first time in the event’s history. The RHS will be hosting five days of free events on its website. Each day will begin with a virtual garden tour led by a gardener, designer or florist, with some even recreating the displays they were intending to show, with a Q&A featuring an RHS expert happening every lunchtime.
There’ll also be virtual tours of nurseries, a school gardening club for kids, and demos on how to grow and pot plants. As well as the online activities, the BBC, which would normally run programmes from the real-life event, will also be broadcasting content from the virtual flower show.
