No seriously, was I the only one wondering what on earth (pun intended!) it was when the notification came through? Lucky for you I’ve looked into it and got the low down for you.

World Earth day is the world’s largest secular celebration. Every April 22nd millions of people across the planet celebrate. This year the organisers are encouraging participants to take part in three days of climate action, between 20th and to 22nd April.
The theme this year is Restore Our Earth, how to repair the damage mankind has done to the earth.
American President Joe Biden has asked 40 world leaders to join him, including Boris, in a virtual summit on 22nd and 23rd April which will be livestreamed and will highlight the urgency for stronger climate action.
There are a number of online events taking place but I think the most important think we can do is be more conscious of what we’re buying. Choose beauty products that are vegan, cruelty-free, with sustainabily sourced ingredients, as well as recyclable and eco-friendly packaging to reduce your beauty footprint. Here are some fabulous suggestions.
From the plastic packaging filling land fills, to cosmetic chemicals washing away down the drain and disrupting marine life; our beauty routines can make a huge impact. With over 120 billion units of cosmetic packaging made a year, it’s time to put conscious beauty at the forefront, especially as we approach World Earth Day (22nd April), and World Environment Day (5th June).
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that one of my favourite high street brands, Garnier, is now cruelty free and almost all of their products are vegan too. By 2025, all Garnier products will be manufactured without the use of so-called non-recycled plastic (Virgin Plastic), the packaging of all products will be recyclable, degradable or reusable, and all Garnier factories will be CO2 neutral.
To celebrate World Earth Day I’ll be putting out a few blog posts sharing the best products from my favourite brands.
