Garnier Organic Lavandin Anti Age Sleeping Cream Review

The key to making the best night cream decision comes down to meeting your skin’s overnight needs. Although nothing is going to beat a good nights sleep, a decent very good night cream is going to help your skin work it’s magic overnight.

Garnier have just launched the Garnier Organic Lavandin Anti Age Sleeping Cream, as part of their Organic Lavandin collection. The Soothing Lavandin collection is completely organic, and is described as offering anti-ageing care for all skin types. This month I have been trialling it to see what I think.

Garnier Organic Lavandin Anti Age Sleeping Cream Review

As soon as it arrived, I loved it’s aesthetic. The outer packaging is full of things you may want to know, as well as an endearing message when you go to open it up. Garnier as a brand seems familiar and I love that even with their newer (perhaps pricier?) launches they still try to connect with their consumers. The sleeping cream is encased in a clear glass jar with a mint green lid. Aesthetics on point!

I’m also not sure what the reasoning behind calling it a sleeping cream rather than a night cream is, but I like it!

The gentle range is said to be enriched with organic lavandin essential oil, which has a number of benefits for results that you can see and feel; skin looks smoother, skin feels firmer and replumped, and skin feels soothed. With that being said, when you open up the jar, there’s no doubt that this cream has pure Lavender essential oils in it. The scent is VERY strong. I personally love lavender so have no issues with it at all, but if you’re not a fan it’s something to be aware of.

The cream has a beautiful purple colour and is thick in consistency. The richness in the cream allows it to ensure your entire face feels extremely hydrated.

Once it is dried down there is no sticky feeling and no residue. Feels like the perfect night sleeping cream!

After 4 weeks of using this cream, I have noticed that I am waking up with VERY hydrated skin. Previously I wasn’t aware that my skin was very dehydrated so I was never one to moisturise liberally. This however has been a game changer for me. My cheeks feel much softer too which is very welcomed!

What about the anti-ageing aspect? Honestly, it’s difficult to comment. my skin is noticably softer and much more hydrated so perhaps these claims are correct? We can’t avoid wrinkles entirely but we can try and achieve dewy, glowing skin and this cream has definitely put me on the path to that.

I have really loved incorporating this beauty into my night time routine and it may not be relevant either but I’ve trained my mind to realise that once the cream is on and my olfactory senses are taking in that lavender, I know that it’s time to relax, switch off and SLEEP.

Would I recommend it?
Absolutely. It is a rich cream so if you need a light moisturiser this might not be it; however, it’s important to note that when you’re asleep, your body and skin works overtime to repair and renew itself. Slathering on a thicker night cream works absolute wonders – it certainly did for me.

It’s priced at £10.99 for 50ml which in all honesty is an absolute bargain.
