If you’ve been on BeautyTok recently, you’ve probably seen the hype around the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Spray. It promises 16-hour wear, a soft-matte finish, and oil control – basically everything you want from a setting spray. The question is, does it actually deliver, or is it just another overhyped launch?
I’ve put it to the test, and I have thoughts. Spoiler: I have a love-hate relationship with this one.

Theoretically, the Easy Bake Setting Spray as the perfect finishing touch to your beauty recipe. It’s whipped up with five types of hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated, mineral clay to absorb excess oil, and rice starch to soothe and refine your complexion. Basically, it’s skincare meets setting spray – a mix that we’ve all been waiting for.
The problem? The nozzle.
The formula itself is light-as-air, but the spritz? Sadly it’s more of a downpour than a mist. If you’ve tried the Mac Fix+ spray then you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Whilst it doesn’t ruin your makeup, it’s definitely not the fine veil I was expecting. My tip? Hold it at arm’s length, or better yet, swap the spray bottle for one with a finer mist. I haven’t done this but I’m seriously considering it!
Pro tip – for setting under eyes, I spray on to a powder puff triangle and then dab on to my eyes.
If you’re familiar with Huda’s Easy Bake Loose Powder, you’ll instantly recognize the scent. It’s a soft sweet vanilla fragrance – quite strong at first but fades away completely after a few minutes. If you’re sensitive to fragrance, this might not be for you, but personally, I think it smells delicious.
Thanks to the oil-absorbing clay and rice starch, it really helps with shine control. My makeup looked fresh for 8-10 hours, but 16 hours? Not quite, especially in my oily zones.
Compared to Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray, Huda’s version keeps me matte longer, but CT’s makes my makeup look fresher overall. For my crease-y under eyes, Huda wins hands down.
So, if you’re after oil control and longevity, this does the job. But if you want a more hydrated, skin-like finish, you might need to layer it with a hydrating primer or mist.
✅ Pros:
✔ Keeps makeup on for a solid 8-10 hours
✔ Mattifies without making skin look flat
✔ Packed with skincare goodness
✔ Smells amazing (if you like fragrance)
❌ Cons:
✖ The nozzle is too aggressive, it needs a finer mist
✖ Fragrance might be too much for some
✖ Doesn’t quite hit the 16-hour mark
Would I repurchase? So far I’m really enjoying using it. I would definitely love to see the bottle/nozzle improved though.
If you love a matte, long-wear finish, this could be your new go-to. Pair it with the Easy Bake Loose Powder, and you might just hit the sweet spot.
