Femme Luxe Finery Review

This month I’m working with an exciting fashion brand that you will no doubt have seen already making huge waves over on Instagram – Femme Luxe Refinery.

I picked out a few pieces in different styles so that I could see what the fit would be like. Since the weather is still pretty cold and I’m living in sweaters so naturally that’s exactly what I went for. I did also pick out a pair of wet look leggings in a wine colour that I really really wanted but they’re clearly so popular that they sold out – absolutely gutted!

Still, I had 3 gorgeous pieces to look forward to and I couldn’t wait for their arrival. As soon as I placed my order, they pretty much arrived within a few days. They were packaged well and the staff seemed great at responding to any queries I had.

My favourite of all the things I ordered has to be this Stone Bardot Cable Knit Oversized Jumper (Melanie). It’s such a classic chic look that could look amazing with any colour jeans or even PU trousers.

It comes in two sizes, S/M or M/L. I didn’t want the jumper to be extremely baggy as the sleeves are quite long too so I opted for S/M as I have small shoulders I hoped it would be ok.

When it arrived, it was just perfect. I do think the neck colour have been ever so slightly bigger but honestly, it’s not bad at all as I can easily wear it as a normal necked jumper too. The jumper has been washed and it didn’t shrink at all. I can definitely see me rocking this throughout spring.

Priced originally at £29.99, I think the jumper is worth it.

The second piece I ordered was another jumper, this time in mustard. As soon as I saw it on the Femme Luxe Refinery website, I knew I had to have it. The Mustard Extreme Polo Neck Oversized Jumper (Amber) is a sure fire way to level up your fashion game this season.

Although it comes in a range of colours, I liked the 70s vibe I was getting with the flared sleeves and colour. I love the longer length on this top and how it can be worn tucked into your jeans or skirt. I also ordered this in a S/M and it fit perfectly.

This jumper is originally priced at £24.99 and although it might seem dear, I kind of think it’s justified. The quality on this is amazing. The knit is proper knit as opposed to the cheap, thin stuff and I know that it’s going to last me a while. I loved the thick turtle neck and sleeves.

The last thing I ordered was Stone Knit Turtle Neck Bodycon Mini Dress (Saskie). I took a bit of a risk with this one as it is a body con dress which doesn’t flatter my body shape that much. I ordered it in M/L which should be a 12/14. Unfortunately when it arrived it was absolutely tiny and looked awful on me.

Overall the quality is great but the fit is a little bit too small. I had to triple check that I hadn’t ordered or been sent out the wrong size. At £24.99 it is still a decent price but the sizing just isn’t up to scratch as not every has a tiny waist.

After trying out some of their pieces, I’m happy to report that I would buy from Femme Luxe Refinery again. I spent ages browsing the website and they have a lot of unique pieces that aren’t floating around on 10 other fast fashion retailer websites. The quality of the items I received are surprisingly good but my small qualm is that their sizing ranging isn’t very vast. You have to fit into S/M or M/L which according to their website is 8/10 or 12/14.
