They hit the catwalks in 2009 and have made a major comeback since. All the coolest of cool celebs have been spotted in them. They were the defining element of hippie style in the 60’s, worn by John Lennon and Elton John. I am, of course, talking about round sunglasses! Every girl needs a pair of these in her wardrobe.
If you still haven’t braved them because they’re too round or too John lennon for you. Let me assure you that these “vintage inspired” spectacles are a wardrobe staple and there are a number of different framed circle lenses that will suit your face.
See above for a nice little collection of sunglasses to suit all sorts of face shapes.
As all ways, you oval faced beauties can pretty much pull anything off, even the roundest of lenses – See Miley Cyrus above.
There seems to be an unwritten rule that those with round faces cannot wear round sunglasses. I don’t agree i’m afraid. If you have a round face, you may want to try a frame with winged or wider edges – Glasses, 2, 4 and 5. These take away the emphasis of the round shape of your face . The wider frames draw attention to the area where your cheek bones start.
Heart shaped faces will probably be best off with sunglasses with a bolder lower frame. Balancing out the face. Very thin frames and lighter coloured lenses will also work well for you. Try to stay away from overly embellished lenses.
Lastly, square faces can also very easily pull these off. The round shape of the lenses soften your face shape.
