Canvas And Cream Review

If ever in your lifetime you thought to yourself that you would love to own a cafe, I can guarantee the type of cafe you envisioned yourself running would be exactly like Canvas and Cream. This contemporary cafe celebrates vintage decor and good food like no one else. Everything, and I mean everything is spot on.

As soon as you walk in your eyes will dart all over the place because every inch of the place is covered with refurbished vintage furniture. The seating is made from old headboards and some of the sides have 70s tiling. Even the ceiling is covered in pure nostalgia. It’s amazing.

If you walk towards the back there is an array of freshly baked cakes and sweet treats too.

I’ve been at least a dozen times before writing this and I have to say the atmosphere is always very chilled and the service is lovely.

My usual dish to order is the Veggie Full English, which is made up of red onion and rosemary sausages, eggs, bubble, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and house beans.

The food is ALWAYS made with quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. I can’t complain about anything. Pricewise, at the time of typing the meal costs £10.50. Considering it’s London, it’s expected and considering the quality it’s definitely worth it.

Canvas and Cream truly is a hidden gem in London that I was reluctant to share. It’s a short walk away from Forest Hill station so it’s very easy to get to. Since I work in South London, it has fast become one of my favourite places to bring people to enjoy good food in a truly wonderful setting.
Oh and did I mention they even have a gallery if you have some extra time to kill.
