Like most of the UK, I’m one of those who have have been asked to work from home. Initially, I was excited at the prospect of being able to work from the comfort of my very own bed but honestly, the novelty wore off VERY quickly. I moved over to the desk in my room but the same scenery wasn’t doing too much for my health so I’m here to encourage you all to take advantage of the glorious spring days that are heading our way and create a makeshift office space outdoors. Be it, a garden, balcony or even the front garden – use it!
Here are some gadgets that you might want to invest in to make your new office fuss free and a place of peak productivity.
I’ve been trialling the AIRTIME SPORT – True Wireless Sport Earbuds + Wireless Charging Case and I feel like my life has been changed? The charge time is ridiculously low and can be charged in the case so there’s no wires involved. They have 25 hours of play time too so I can get a few days of work done without worrying about having to constantly recharge. They come in 3 colours and if you’re thinking about getting your daily exercise in during your break, they’re sweat resistant too!
Since my commute time exceeded an hour, I have trialled my fair share of power banks. The best brand that I’ve come across has to be Anker. They are sturdy, relatively lightweight in comparison to other brands and work extremely well. Since most of your communication will be via phone now, you’ll definitely want to get yourself a power bank to get your through the working day.
The Braven Mini speaker is everything you would ever need in a speaker and more. Ideal for conference calls & ongoing tunes throughout the day. The speaker will give you an impressive 12 hours play back and you can use the integrated microphone for noise-canceling, hands-free phone calls. This mini speaker is even waterproof incase we get a random downpour of rain. I The wireless aspect means your new office will be wireless and clutter free.
I’m sure you can tell by now, I hate wires and cords. It doesn’t help (or maybe it does?) that I don’t have a socket near my garden so I need to keep coming indoors to print off important documents. One investment I haven’t yet made but is definitely one I’m looking into is an air printer. It still blows my mind that my printer doesn’t have to be physically attached to my computer anymore and I love that I can take it outside with me if I need it. I can’t wait to upgrade and I’m still weighing up my options at the moment. If you have any suggestions, please do let me know below or on my social channels!
