Bonfire night events are FINALLY back and up and running and I’ve found all the best ones to help you celebrate in style, from fab fireworks displays to immersive experiences.

Ally Pally is a perennial go-to for fireworks in London. The Grade II-listed venue looks magnificent lit up, and panoramic views of London are breathtaking. As well as a fireworks display which is widely considered the biggest and best in the country, Alexandra Palace puts on an incredible festival in its 196-acre park. Expect outdoor live music and an ice rink, a designated family area, and plenty of street food. A light show, funfair and fire jugglers will complete an evening of fiery fun.

The Gunpowder Plot is a thrilling new immersive experience which takes place in a purpose-designed immersive theatre space in the vaults in the Tower of London. Live actors, virtual reality and multi-sensory special effects all come together to take the audience back in time to the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to infiltrate the plotters, earn their trust and then join them.

The Saturday night fireworks will be delivered by the same company that runs London’s famous New Year’s Eve fireworks, Titanium Pyrotechnics. Like Alexandra Palace, Battersea Park is also running a beer hall, mini funfair and live band. The park will also host an after party at Evolution London after the firework show. For visitors with families, on Sunday night the park is running a new event – Family Night. Sunday’s fireworks will be starting an hour earlier at 7pm, and be accompanied by a light show rather than a bonfire. Tickets on both nights are £12.10 for over 10s, and under 10s go free.
