Rhode Peptide Lip Tint Swatches and Reviews

So, Hailey Bieber dropped her own skincare line, Rhode. I’m not usually into celeb beauty brands, but something about this one had me intrigued. Maybe it’s because I’m obsessed with her style and nail choices or because the Peptide Lip Tints have been all over TikTok, either way, I couldn’t resist giving it a whirl.

What are the Peptide Lip Tints?

These lip tints are Rhode’s first foray into color cosmetics. They’re formulated with the same base as the original Peptide Lip Treatments but with a hint of color. The four shades – Ribbon, Toast, Raspberry Jelly, and Espresso – were carefully chosen by Hailey Bieber and her makeup artist, Leah Darcy. Supposedly.

The Formula

The formula is thick and glossy, and it glides on smoothly. Generally I’m not a fan of thick gloss but I had read that the consistency is due to a combination of hydrogenated polyisobutene and polybutene which creates a film that fills in lines and furrows. I can confirm that it doesn’t plump your lips, but weirdly, it does make them look fuller and smoother. When my lips stayed hydrated even after the product and glossiness faded, I knew it was a great product.

How to Use the Rhode Peptide Lip Treatment

The brand recommends swiping on the product at any time for extra hydration. To use it as a lip-plumping mask, it recommends applying a thick layer and letting it sit on your lips for a full 10 minutes. Then, wipe off any excess product before applying lip liner or lipstick.

The Verdict

The bottom line is that I love the way these lip tints make my lips look and feel. They’re hydrating, smoothing, and the color payoff is just right. The only thing that could make them better is a scent to match the food-inspired names.
