LookFantastic Beauty Box Hydrate

I used to be a long standing subscriber of the LOOKFANTASTIC beauty box. Eventually I grew older and with responsibilities kicking in, I couldn’t justify the £15 a month. This month though, I wanted to test out some new products and a box dedicated to hydration was perfect!

The LOOKFANTASTIC beauty box is supposed to be worth at least £115. I saw the figure and thought yeah yeah, sure. Then when my box came I was pleasantly surprised!

What did you get in the box?

Medik8 Hydr8 intense
Get your Medik8 – Hydr8 B5 – Intense here

Medik8 – Hydr8 B5 – Intense 8ml
Worth – £14.66 (for 8ml)

What is it?
This super high lightweight serum helps to kickstart the natural production of Hyaluronic acid in the skin, blocks its breakdown and works in conjunction with hyaluronic acid to deliver intermediate and long term hydration for all day moisture.

My thoughts?
I’m SO excited to try out a Medik8 product, even though it’s a small amount. I do think it’s enough for me to decide whether it’s worth splurging on. The 30ml is £55 so it would be a purchase I’d really how to think about.

Philip Kingsley - Elasticizer

Philip Kingsley – Elasticizer sachet 40ml
Worth – £9.33

What is it?
This multi award winning pre-shampoo treatment encapsulates the true freshness of seaside living with its dreamy scent. Suitable for even the finest of hair, it adds elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine whilst visibly reducing breakage over time.

My thoughts?
This is another one that I’m really excited to try. I have been wanting to splurge on the elasticised but to be honest, I wasn’t sure whether my fine hair would get on with it. 40ml is a decent amount to give it a go at least twice before decided whether the pre-shampoo treatment works well for my hair.

Glov – Jade green Gua Sha
Worth – £18.19

What is it?
Thanks to the unique shape, the gua sha is able to massage hard to reach area for an even looking complexion. Regular massages using the gua sha stimulate the skin and smooth over fine line. Facial massages also minimise the appearance of fatigue, puffiness and dark circles.

My thoughts?
Guys. I don’t know how they did it but this is ANOTHER product that I wanted to buy buy just wasn’t sure I wanted to spend close to £20 on. I have seen countless TikTok videos on the wonders of using a Gua Sha regularly and if I get even half of those results, I’ll be so impressed.

Syrene - Aquagel refreshing toner

Syrene – Aquagel refreshing toner 150ml
Worth – £54

What is it?
Rejuvenate and restore pure radiance with the gentle firming properties of our Aquagel Refreshing Toner. Formulated with Marine Collagen, Seaweed extract Ephemer™ and Larch Tree extract, this toner uniquely offers both tightening and hydration for a beautifully balanced complexion.

My thoughts?
I have never heard of Syrene before but a quick google showed me that it’s stocked in Harvey Nichols so I was very impressed. I’m in need of a new toner so this is a perfect addition for me. Genuinely excited to use it.

SACHAJUAN Ocean Mist Volume Shampoo
Get your SACHAJUAN Ocean Mist Volume Shampoo here

SACHAJUAN Ocean Mist Volume Shampoo 30ml
Worth – £3

What is it?
Perfect for hair lacking oomph, it transforms fine, limp and lifeless hair, creating body, weight and bounce without weighing the hair down. Featuring SACHAJUAN’s unique Ocean Silk Technology, which is made up of a blend of natural algae, it also helps to strengthen, reduce breakage, nourish and protect the hair from external aggressors.

My thoughts?
This is another brand that I’ve never heard of. I don’t have a holy grail shampoo so I’m looking forward to trying this one out on my ‘fine’ hair.

Eyeko - Double Act Cookies and Cream
Get your Eyeko – Double Act Cookies and Cream here

Eyeko – Double Act Cookies and Cream
Worth – £20

What is it?
This easy-to-use shadow stick offers two versatile shades that allow you to transform your look in multiple ways. You can take yourself from day to night with a single swipe of colour, smoke out and blend with fingertips for extra drama, or line and define the eyes for a more natural look.

My thoughts?
I don’t really know what this product has to do with hydration tbh. I’m not too fond of Eyeko as a brand. It’s not awful but it’s not anything revolutionary either. Would’ve preferred a moisturiser or even a lip balm.

Overall the box has more great products than mediocre ones. I’m really excited to get stuck in and see what my thoughts on all the different brands are. I did add up the cost of everything they gave me, taking into account the sizes of everything it was actually altogether worth £119.18! I’ll do reviews on them all hopefully so stay tuned!

In the meantime, click to get your hands on a LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Box for yourself.
