I’ve been on the search for a new mask that brightens my skin for the longest time. I realised that most of the masks that I do own all tackle acne and congested skin but since going into my late 20’s I realised that dull skin was starting to creep in and I wanted to get on top of it. After doing some research, the mask that was hailed to have amazing results was the Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque. I had to have it.
Kiehl’s say: Our “instant facial” masque brightens and energizes the look of dull, fatigued skin to restore a healthy, rosy appearance. Formulated with Cranberry seeds and Turmeric, this invigorating masque helps soften skin and gently exfoliates it, for smoother, brighter, illuminated looking skin.
It sounds perfect right?
This mask, or should i say ‘masque’ from Kiehl’s comes in an orange glass tub with a white screw-on cap. Although there’s nothing fancy about the packaging, it’s both functional and looks good on my bathroom shelf.
I’m always worried about products with Turmeric in. Growing up in an Indian household means that I know just how much that ish stains! Opening the tub up carefully, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the mask is mostly a pale yellow, smooth paste with tiny bits of crushed cranberry seeds. The paste is very easy to spread across your face and dries down in 10-15 minutes.
Initially I though that the particles looked too big and might damage my skin if I try to exfoliate when washing it off, but it’s actually not the case at all. In fact, the exfoliation by the crushed cranberry seeds is milder than what I’d expected. The mask doesn’t haven’t a distinct smell nor does it tingle when it is on.
Honestly I was very surprised at the results! The mask was very easy to wash off and I can confirm that it really does ‘instantly brighten’. My skin felt very clean when washed off and I experienced only very slight tightness.
The more I’ve used it, the more I’ve seen how it helps to brighten up my skin. I’ve used this mask once a week for 5 weeks and loved the results every time.
Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque is suitable for all skin types and for those worried about over-exfoliating or having sensitive skin, Kiehl’s have got you covered. I totally agree when Kiehl’s calls it “an instant facial” that you need before any occasion that demands your skin to look healthy and glowing.
So the mask is currently priced at £36 for 100ml. There’s no denying it, it’s on the pricier side of masks. Then again, I would consider Kiehl’s to be on the higher end of skincare brands. Taking into consideration how well the mask worked for me and that I wouldn’t use it more than once a week, I do think it’s worth it.
Would I recommend the mask? Definitely. I can see myself incorporating it very easily into my current skincare routine.
Would I purchase it again? It’s now on my list of things I will repurchase once they finish.
