Isibani, a new West African restaurant on Knightsbridge Green helmed by MasterChef The Professionals semi finalist Victor Okunowo (ex-The Wolseley; ex-Chiltern Firehouse), is inviting diners to try a tasting menu as part of a launch offer. This is definitely one not to miss out on. In case you’re wondering, Isibani takes its name from a Zulu word meaning ‘bring the light’.

From Monday July 19, Head Chef Victor is inviting people to try an eight-course tasting menu at the special price of £25 (excluding drinks).
This menu, which changes daily, gives you the chance to sample some of Victor’s dishes and get a feel of the restaurant.
Isibani is described by co-founders, Anthony Douglas Chuka and Abdul Malik Abubakar, as a love letter to West African cuisine and their mother’s Ibo Nigerian heritage. Nigerian born Londoner Victor has created a menu that reflects the traditions, ingredients, and culture of West Africa. He has interpreted childhood recipes made with authentic techniques.

I have no word yet on whether there are any halal options available or not but I have enquired and will let you know asap.
Isibani opens for real on August 7, with an a la carte menu and walk-ins. It will also have a small roof terrace to head on sunny days.
The soft launch runs from July 19 to August 2. Book online Isibani website below.
