This month I’m really excited to announce that I’m collaborating with Boohoo for their Dress of the month campaign. Earlier this month they very kindly sent me their dress of the month for me to style. Before it arrived I had no idea what it would be like so I wasn’t able to plan ahead with different ideas but this made it all the more interesting. I had been given the choice of either black or white and of course I went with black and awaited it’s arrival.
When the dress finally arrived I was so so happy with it! I was sent the Camella lace insert dress which is a dress I’ve been eyeing up for so long. It’s a midi sun dress with lace inserts across it and thin adjustable straps. Apart from the fact that this dress is so wearable I love the fact that it’s fully lined. This means that both the black and white version won’t be see through even when the sun is shining.
I opted for a size 10 and it was a good fit, slightly snug around the bust so if unlike me you have bewbs you may want to size up.
The sundress reminded of something my sister had in the 90’s so this is exactly the look I went for. The weather was being really temperamental so I threw on my Topshop (Moto) cropped denim jacket and some H&M leggings; I even threw on a velvet choker for good measure. I decided to really channel the 90’s and do a half up ponytail and went for the bold reddy brown lip that defined the decade – if you’re wondering it’s Kat Von D’s Lolita.
Since taking these OOTD pics, I’ve already thought of so many other ways to style this dress. It would look great as a really girly dress perhaps with a beaded kimono but equally fantastic with converse and a bomber jacket too. Priced at just £18 you really can’t go wrong. For me, something like this is a staple item that’s great all year round.
Would I recommend it this dress to you? Most definitely. I’m certain that I’ll be purchasing the white version too because it’s so versatile and will be perfect to take on holiday with me next month.
Boohoo are one of my favourite etailers for casual wear because they’re so reasonably priced and always on trend. Browse their fantastic dress collection here.
