As it’s Ramadan and I’ve been at home the past few weeks, I’ve been making an effort to pray more. With washing my face, even if it is plain water *at least* 5 times a day, I’m noticing my skin is starting to feel quite dry, especially on my forehead. I know I’m not alone in wondering if there is anything more I can do to help my skin out apart from my cleansing routine in the am and pm.

This is one of the best times to introduce HA into your skin care because if you go back and read my last skincare post (How should I be applying Hyaluronic acid) you’ll know that the best only way to apply it is on wet/damp skin. If you’re doing wudhu, it makes perfect sense to use a good HA serum as soon as you’ve finished your ablution.
I like to follow up my HA with a moisturiser because it helps to draw in moisture from it too. The difference it makes is amazing. Water based moisturisers are perfect for this (things like Clinique Moisture Surge or Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream).
If applying serums and creams are too much for an effort for your busy lifestyle then I’d recommend getting a rosewater facial spritz. My favourite is the BBB London Rosewater mist, the fragrance isn’t too overpowering and it is extremely light on your face. London (and other cities) have hard water which can be pretty disruptive to your skin’s pH levels. With a pH level of 5.5 rosewater just so happens to be the same level where our skin should be. It’s definitely one for your skincare shelf.
