Pumpkin Patches are a great day out to kick start the spooky season. Whether you’re into Halloween or not, there’s nothing quite like getting your wellies on and marching through acres of gourds to find the perfect one to take home and rip the guts out of.
Here are 5 of the best pumpkin patches that are in and near London:
Hewitts Farm
Bromley is my second home so of course I’m going to be recommending Hewitts Farm first! It’s an amazing 78 acre family run farm just outside of Orpington.
They actually grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables for ‘Pick Your Own’ all year round, so you can get your apples and plums in too for those autumnal bakes! It also makes for the patch visit a little bit more exciting.

Stanhill Farm
Family run and located just 17 miles from central London, Stanhill Farm harvests around 20-30 varieties of fruit and vegetables every year.
My favourite part of Stanhill Farm is the sunflowers! We’ve had late blooms this year so you might just manage to spot some alongside your pumpkins! They have a few rows (not a field).

Garson’s
I love to visit Garson’s multiple times a year because they hold the largest varieties of fruit and veggies that you can pick. It really is an incredible day out.
Big or small, white, green or orange, Garsons has your pumpkin needs covered.
You’ll need to book online to receive your Farm Pass in order to be let into the PYO fields.

The Pop Up Farm
This place was Patch MK earlier in the summer with a promise of giant sunflower fields. I’ll save that experience for another post!
As well as pumpkin fields there is a ten acre field of oats and 55-metre straw maze to work your way through too.

MEOPHAM PYO
Home to fresh, seasonal produce and a cosy onsite farm shop, the pick your own farm has become renowned for its field upon field of orange-hued pumpkins. Whether you’re after a big or small pump, or you just want to snap up a photo for the ‘gram, Meopham’s range will provide you with all of your festive needs.
