I’ve never been the kind of girl who wears joggers. I just can’t picture myself in them really, in fact I don’t think I’ve ever really owned a proper pair. I’m more of a girly girl *endless princess emoji’s*. Give me leggings and dresses any day but rocking a pair of joggers fills me with dread.
One of my new years goals for this year however has been to mix up my style/wardrobe a little bit and step out of my comfort zone. To try new looks and buy things I wouldn’t normally just to see if I can rock it. I guess it looks like I’m in luck because following on from post-new year’s goals, “Athleisure” is set to be one of 2018’s biggest trends.
Athleisure combines the comfort of wearing work out clothes with everyday settings such as work and brands are really working this idea by creating a very mixed up item. It’s such a strange concept that it actually works – in fact it works so well that you can literally wear the trend anywhere, with anything and you will always have a really cute outfit.
My favourite piece from this trend has to be the tailored joggers. They’re just really really comfortable semi-smart looking trousers. I’m also loving the Prince of Wales checked print at the moment so when I saw this pair [link removed] from Stradivarius, I had to get them right away. I love that the black stripe adds an element of casual to them.
The day this photo was taken it was freeeeeezing, like the wind was actually going insane. I couldn’t wear the trousers any other way than with boots and a jumper but I’m actually determined to see how else I can style them.
I’ve searched all the high streets retailers and found all the best types of tailored joggers for you. No matter what shapes and sizes your legs are, I guarantee there’s a style that will suit you! Scroll the carousel above to see my favourite pieces out right now. If you already own a pair, tag me in your insta pics so I can see how you’ve worn yours.
What do you think of the Athleisure trend?
