This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray Review

When I say I have been struggling to sleep, I mean STRUGGLING. Generally I’m not a great sleeper as it is but living through a pandemic is honestly something else. A good few months ago I decided to pick up the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray after reading some of the rave reviews.

I used Look Fantastic to order the spray so it came really quickly. The bottle is cute and just as practical, it comes in an opaque white spray bottle. The cap is easy to take off and put back on and the spray part is simple too. Can’t fault the design.
The blend of lavender, vetivert and camomile means that the smell is actually much nicer than I thought it would be. It hasn’t got an artificial (or air freshener) smell which is something I was dreading. Once you get used to the smell it’s actually really lovely and comforting.

Having sold over two million bottles, the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray was shown in a poll of 200 people (100 of which were ex-prescription users) to help 97% to sleep better, 89% to fall asleep faster and 98% to feel more refreshed in the morning. Those are some serious numbers so I was optimistic too say the least!

I know a few of my Instagram followers said that they felt it was expensive and I do see where they’re coming from but can you really put a price on good sleep? If you read up on how lack of sleep effects you in all aspects of your lives you’ll think this is an absolute bargain!

How does it work?

As soon as I was ready to hit the sack, I gave my pillow a quick spritz and let it settle before getting into bed. I do have to mention that it doesn’t stain my pillowcase at all and it’s really simple to use. You literally just spray it and it *should* work it’s magic.

One thing I did find was that the smell doesn’t linger or last all that long. Not sure if that’s a pro or con to be honest.

Does it really work?

Over the course of 3 months I’ve used up the whole bottle and I will say that for me it’s not always 100% effective. When I first started using it I wasn’t falling asleep any faster at all but what I was finding was that my quality of sleep was much better. I woke up less during the night and in turn woke up rested. I think over time I have subconsciously learnt to associate the scent with sleep time and once I’m in bed I can’t feel myself drifting off much quicker than I used to.

Now that I’ve run out of the spray I’m wondering whether my results will undo themselves. I don’t really want to wait around to see if they will so I will be purchasing this again. I’m actually starting to miss the smell of ‘bedtime’.

Would I recommend it? I think it’s definitely worth trying. It didn’t work miracles and it didn’t work overnight so be patient with it.
