Blog Goals And Resolutions For 2019

I’m a big believer in goal setting. I think you can never truly measure your success or how far you’ve come, if you don’t set goals and reflect on just how much you’ve grown. Last year I made a very short list and my aim was actually to focus on my then, very slow growing Instagram account. I really wanted to get to 10k and earn some money from the social media platform that I had previously used begrudgingly. By December, I had grown to to love the app and I got my first ‘proper’ paid gig. I can’t believe I’m saying it but I’m excited to see what 2019 has in store!

The algorithm is gonna get you

This year I am no longer neglecting this corner of the web that I call my blog. In fact I’ve come up with 4 goals that I’m setting myself to see just how far I can go with Damzel In This Dress:

  1. Be consistent – I always feel pressure to write long, very lengthy posts but the truth is, most people don’t have hours to scroll endlessly so I need to worry less about word counts and focus more on putting out good, quality posts that you all actually want to read!
  2. Be excited! – I want this place to be a place where I share all of the things that I’m loving and extremely excited about. Whether it’s new hacks, recent discoveries, hauls or just the fact that I am now able to put my eyeliner on better than ever. I want to share it all!
  3. Be an extension – Instagram and Twitter are my favourite social media platforms. They’re SO easy to share exactly what I’m doing and feeling, but sometimes you want to know more. I know I’m nosey AF and always want to read more so I will be trying to use Damzel In This Dress as a more detailed extension of my platforms
  4. Be creative – I always want to be more creative and try new things and new styles of showcasing my thoughts and  ideas but I worry about inconsistency or not being able to pull it off. Instead I’m going to do whatever I want. Because why TF not.

What are your goals and resolutions?
