Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Review

I had first heard of the Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm last year when I fell down a rabbit hole of watching K-beauty videos on Youtube. It seemed like such a cult product and one that seemed the perfect place to start my journey into using k-beauty.

This cult favorite still melts off stubborn makeup seamlessly without stripping your skin of its natural oils, it also naturally exfoliates and brightens with vitamin C-rich acerola extract. It used to contain mineral oil which put a lot of skincare enthusiasts off but but now thisl has been replaced with natural ester oil. Other problematic ingredients such as butylated hydroxytoluene has also been replaced by vitamin E acetate whilst butyl parahydroxybenzoate has been replaced with phenoxyethanol, an ingredient naturally derived from green tea to provide a fresh, rose scent.

Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Review

The ingredients list looked really really exciting, so I put it in my order and waited for it to arrive.

The packaging is perfect, both sleek and simple. I’m not always fond of jars because of hygiene reasons but it’s easy to use I suppose.

This cleanser is a balm which transforms into an oil when you massage it into your skin. The oil is thin and feels really lovely on the skin. It doesn’t feel heavy at all and it melts all of my makeup off very quickly. I have tried it with waterproof eyeliner and it didn’t need any effort or scrubbing.

Once you’re happy with your makeup being off, you just add some water and it will emulsify into a milky texture which rinses away effortlessly.

My thoughts

It works out to about £16 (on average) which is more on the spenny side of skincare but I have to say that you get more than enough product for your money. The jar really is big and you need only a pea sized amount to cover your whole face. The jar lasted me a LONG time and that includes me using it for my more creative Instagram looks.

My favourite things about it is how effortless removing makeup is. Dare I say, it can even feel relaxing compared to when I used to scrub away with makeup removers. The supposed “fresh rose” smell is very faint and by the time you’ve worked it into your skin the scent is gone.

Would I purchase this again? Once I finished the jar, I wanted to try something else for a while to see what else was on the market. After a few weeks, I repurchased it again because I really miss how easy it is too remove makeup with this. Hoping it arrives soon so I can take some more photos of it in action.

Where can I purchase? I took a risk and purchased it from Yesstyle and had no problems. Click to get your very own Banila Co Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm
