Wide Leg Dogtooth Print Culottes

I’m not great at taking outfit photos. In fact I’d go as far as saying I’m the worst. Posing does not come naturally to me, nor does putting together an outfit that looks on trend. I dress for comfort and I try not to show my arms and legs if I can help it so that makes it a lot more difficult, especially in the warmer weather.

This week the weather has gone from freezing conditions to an actual heatwave, so I’ve had to root through my wardrobe to see what I could find from summer last year.

My friends were not convinced and insisted that I wouldn’t wear them. They were right. The print is so bold that I wasn’t sure I could pull it off. In the last week of sunshine we had in 2017, I thought I’d have to just take the plunge and wear them at least once and I absolutely loved how they looked on. I instantly regretted not getting any wear out of them last year and reluctantly put them away.

This year, it’s one of the first things I reached for when the sun came out. I wasn’t sure if the sun would hold out the whole day so I added this rust duster coat from Boohoo on top. As these trousers were last year’s stock they’re not available to buy but you can shop a similar outfit below:

Bold colours and prints are definitely going to be my go to this Spring/Summer and if you’re looking to do the same, then I’ve put together a few prints and peices that I’m really loving.

Slightly unrelated but can I also just give myself a huge pat on the back for posting consecutively 10 days in a row?! If I’m going to be completely honest, I didn’t think I was going to keep it up lol and yet, here we are! I always worry about posting blog posts that are too short. I know it’s not too great for SEO (Google searches) but I also know that readers want easy to read posts they can read on the go, so I’m trying to find a happy medium.

Would love any feedback on what you’re loving and not liking so much, leave me a comment below, an email (I promise I’ll reply!) or tweet me (@damzlinthisdres).
