Pretty Little Thing October Edit

My next few posts are all going to be centred around transitioning into Autumn/Winter soz not soz. Suddenly I’ve got my blogging mojo back.and to kick start it off I’ve teamed up with Pretty Little Thing to bring you three of my favourite dresses for my favourite season.

First up is the dress that I fell in love with the moment I laid eyes on it – this tassle detail dress in orange.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that tassles have been all the rage this season. I wasn’t too sure about tassle earrings to begin with but they’ve actually won me over! The tassle trend doesn’t just have to stop at earrings though, if you’re not feeling the Pat Butcher look but still want to participate in the super fun trend then Pretty Little Thing have the perfect answer. This tassle dress is one of my absolute favourites on the PLT website. It comes in black too but personally I think it looks amazing in orange. Plus with it being October, this is probably one of the best months you can get away with wearing an orange that’s as bright as this. If you have a halloween party to attend that isn’t necessarily a fancy dress one then this is absolutely perfect.

I never know how to do my makeup when I’m wearing such a bright colour but I opted for an orange lid (yay Modern Renaissance palette!) and a nude lip. However for my Halloween party I’ll be doing a a simple skull face along with this dress.
I love the high neck and the placement of the tassles, be warned though the dress is ever so slightly sheer!

The next dress that I’m really loving is this sporty dress because let’s face it I’m pretty much a girly girl. Up until last year I didn’t even own a pair of trainers! That being said, even though I love comfort dressing (think baggy sweatshirts) I never really thought to cross over to sporty clothing. This elastic trim sweater dress has managed to solve all those problems and open my eyes to a different aesthetic. I’ll be teaming this dress up with tights and *shock horror* trainers!! I’ve finished the look off with some hooped earrings, braids and a statement lipstick (Gerard cosmetics – Gravity).

Be warned though the dress is very over sized and have no seams for shoulders so it does appear even baggier, try sizing down if you’re thinking of ordering.

The final item for today’s post is this Iffy Stone Oversized Cable knit dress featured below. I have a HUGE feeling I’m going to be living in this dress because it is sooo comfortable. I’ll be completely honest, I was really surprised at the quality of the jumper because it’s really well made and a really great thick knit. I love that it’s not a figure hugging jumper dress (yay for oversized!) but what really sold it to me was the neckline.

It’s not your usual turtleneck so I won’t get all hot and bothered when the central heating is on full blast at work! I could still add a choker to glam it up a bit and wear with killer boots or I could add some jeans and flat to keep it casual.
