Blue Vanilla Pebble Print Shirt Review

This year I’m changing up my style a little bit. I’m so bored of wearing (mostly) black and the same old style so I’ve given myself a bit of a resolution to wear bolder prints and put together outfits that I might not necessarily reach for in my wardrobe. This month I’ve teamed up with Blue Vanilla who sent me an amazing shirt dress to style.

Blue Vanilla is a London based women’s wear fashion brand, delivering fast fashion and great quality at affordable prices. You might have seen their concession in stores like New Look or House of Fraser – they’re definitely doing it big!

The dress I received is a midi length button down with long sleeves and an unusual pebble print. I love the bold print and although busy prints isn’t what I usually go for, the simplistic style of a maxi shirt might just be the best style for me to pull this off.

The quality of the shirt surprised me because I’ll be honest I was expecting something that wouldn’t last after even one wear. Fast fashion just isn’t made to last but I know that this is one outfit that I’ll be able to wear a good few times without the quality being compromised. The long sleeves mean that this outfit is definitely a transitional one that will see me all through spring and even next autumn.

The dress itself is quite a statement and needs very little accessorising, so I’m keeping my outfit simple. I decided to team it up with black leggings and black studded ankle boots (from Dorothy Perkins). Although I’ve had a few thoughts on how over the sunnier days I’ll definitely consider wearing this over an outfit like a summer kimono. Perhaps even clashing prints(!).

Blue Vanilla are very quickly going to becoming a firm favourite of mine, I can just tell. This statement shirt dress was on sale and is no longer available however you can browse their other dresses here and their sale section here to snap up a bargain!
