Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil Review

I’ve been using Reship oil for almost 3 years now. It was a random purchase that I had made when I had just started reading about why some oils are amazing for your skin and I wanted to try it out for myself. Ever since I discovered it, I really haven’t looked back.

Rosiehip oil is pretty much on par with coconut oil. The uses for it are endless – hydration, radiance, fading marks, nourishing, smoothing, it pretty much does it all when it comes to skin care. For me, I was looking for something that would keep my peeling dry (and sensitive) skin hydrated whilst removing my acne scars/pigmentation at the same time. It was a tough and perhaps an almost impossible job but after looking into the benefits of Rosehip oil, I had pinned my hopes on it working.

The packaging is a dark brown frosted glass bottle with red and silver labels. It also features a dropper as part of the lid to pick up and distribute the oil. I absolutely love it, because it’s hygienic and so easy to keep control of the amount of oil you need. No unnecessary waste. The dark glass bottle isn’t just for aesthetics either, the product MUST be kept out of any sunlight and be kept tightly closed. The oil is a strong yellow colour when you first use it and over time this colour will start to fade to a very watered down yellow. Once the oil changes to a pale yellow, it needs to be thrown away. It’s also handy to remember that the oil has a very strict, use by 6 months date. Even if you keep it out of sunlight, it stops doing what it’s supposed to do and there’s really no point in using a product that doesn’t work at all. This really helped me to make the most of the product and use it every day so as not to waste any of it.

I do have to admit that the oil is pretty pricey at £31.50 for 30ml but you honestly get what you pay for – serious quality product. If you’re unsure that you’ll be able to use the product up in 6 months, you are also able to purchase smaller bottles.

trilogy certified organic rosehip oilRosehip Oil is moderately thick, but it is really easy to blend and absorbs into the skin straight away. It’s not greasy not does it leave a bad residue like some oils I’ve previously used have done. It does have a strong smell to it and unfortunately it smells nothing like roses.

My morning ritual is to cleanse and then immediately use two to three drops over my entire face and massage it in while my skin is still a little damp, this helps the oil absorb into my face much quicker and creates less friction on my face when I massage the oil in. once that dries up, I’m ready to moisturise and get my makeup on.

In 3 years my scars have faded drastically. My skin tone has evened out to a point where I can go without foundation and feel confident about it. Obviously these results are in conjunction with other good skincare products, but I can always feel and see the difference in my skin when I don’t use this oil. Now that the scars on my face are under control I am very curious about trying this oil on my stretch marks. I’ll definitely be trying this in the next few months and will report back but in the mean time, if you’re curious about trying it for yourself then you can purchase the product here.
