Buckle Up Bitches – Hardware Shoes Hitting The High Street

It’s officially 100% Autumn and I have finally cleared out the front porch. All the sandals and peep toes have been packed and boxed away and out are my favourite type of footwear – the ankle boot! Last year I had real difficulty finding a style that I liked and as much I’m loving all the velvet that’s in at the moment, with the god awful British weather, it’s just not practical. I’m on the look out for something hard wearing and just bad ass. If you’re a commuter like me (or just a footwear fanatic) then you are going to LOVE the new trend that’s just hit the high street stores.

Buckle Ankle Boots

Feast your eyes on these amazing buckled boots that are all available in stores now. I’ve had a scour around my favourite high street stores and picked out my favourites for you:

  1. Carvela – Not only do these beauties look good, I’ve tried and tested them in store and they both look and feel so so comfortable on. Priced at £165 they were  a little out of my budget but the flat heel would also mean that I would get so much more wear out of these then other boots.
  2. River Island – Ok these boots are my absolute favourite of this lot. I am so in lust with them that it’s kind of getting a little bit obsessive; in fact half way through writing this post I’ve reserved them at my nearest RI store. Not to mention the countless times I’ve stopped working to admire them on the website. The detail in this boot is just dreamy. I love the buckles the most because they’re so beautifully ornate and the velvet panelling just finishes it right off. Can this boot get any more on trend?  They’re an absolute steal at £45.
  3. Topshop – Still stuck on the Carvela’s but worried about the suede in the rain….or the price? well, worry not because Topshop have a 100% leather version at £85. These AMY boots are stunning and with 4 buckles and a whole lot more studs. Let’s face it, they look so so tempting. Just imagine all of the outfits you could wear these with!
  4. ASOS – If you’re digging the River Island boots but not sure about the leather/velvet combo then ASOS have a treat for you. They’ve just added a suede version with very similar detailed buckles priced at £65. They’ve paired the boots with ripped jeans and it looks like this is probably the look I’m going to be living in this A/W.
  5. Zara – Last but not least, I’m loving these heavy duty hardware adorned leather boots. Track soles are life savers on those wet, wintery days when the leaves are particularly slippery. These have already made their way into my home and they’re so practical, especially in unpredictable weather.

Whether your style is biker babe or wicked western, this seasons hardwear boots can definitely be catered to your style. It’s time to kick start this season with some serious on-trend style!
